Job Description
Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for data and a keen eye for detail? Capgemini is seeking an enthusiastic Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience to kickstart their career in data analytics, specifically working with Google Teams data and associated Google Cloud technologies. You will play a crucial role in collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses of data, translating numbers into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the chance to collaborate with a diverse team from anywhere in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preparation of data from various sources, primarily focusing on Google Teams and related Google Workspace applications.
- Perform basic statistical analysis and data interpretation to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Google Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) or other BI platforms.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver meaningful insights.
- Support the optimization of data collection processes and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Document methodologies, data sources, and analytical findings clearly and concisely.
- Stay updated with new data analysis techniques and Google Cloud platform features.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel).
- Basic understanding of data analysis principles and statistical concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and concise manner.
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the field of data analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with SQL for data querying.
- Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Google Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of Google Workspace environment and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Previous internship or project experience involving data analysis.
