Job Description

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior E-commerce Assistant to join our growing digital team in Edmonton. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day management of products on our Shopify e-commerce platform, including product uploads, descriptions, and imagery.
- Support the marketing team in executing digital campaigns, promotions, and content updates for the online store.
- Monitor website performance, identifying and reporting on any technical issues or user experience challenges.
- Conduct competitive research and analyze market trends to inform e-commerce strategies.
- Respond to customer inquiries related to online orders and product information, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, IT, logistics) to ensure smooth e-commerce operations.
- Maintain accurate records of website changes, inventory, and sales data.
- Contribute to SEO efforts by optimizing product listings and website content.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of e-commerce principles and online retail.
- Familiarity with the Shopify platform (even personal project experience is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
- Previous experience (internship or volunteer) in a retail or e-commerce setting.
