Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Privacy Analyst with a focus on Google Compliance to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position open to candidates based in Southampton or anywhere in the UK. In this role, you will support our privacy and compliance initiatives, specifically ensuring adherence to Google’s various data privacy policies, terms of service, and regulatory requirements as they impact our digital operations and client projects. You will work closely with senior analysts and legal teams to monitor changes, conduct assessments, and assist in implementing best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret updates to Google's privacy policies, terms of service, and related regulatory guidance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA as they apply to Google platforms).
- Assist in conducting privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) with a focus on Google services and products.
- Support the development and maintenance of privacy documentation, policies, and procedures relevant to Google Compliance.
- Help track and respond to privacy-related inquiries and data subject requests.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, IT, legal) to ensure Google compliance in data collection, processing, and usage.
- Participate in training and awareness programs to educate staff on privacy best practices and Google's specific requirements.
- Perform data mapping and inventory activities for data processed via Google platforms.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to privacy and Google compliance.
- Research emerging privacy trends and technologies relevant to Google's ecosystem.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with Google products and services (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Cloud Platform).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM) or a demonstrated interest in pursuing them.
- Previous internship or project experience in a compliance, legal, or privacy-related role.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
