Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Privacy Analyst to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about data privacy and compliance, with a keen interest in Google’s ecosystem and regulatory landscape. You will play a crucial role in supporting our clients’ efforts to maintain compliance with global privacy regulations, specifically focusing on Google-related products and services. This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work with a diverse team of experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior analysts in conducting privacy impact assessments and data protection audits related to Google products (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, Google Analytics, Google Ads).
- Research and analyze global data privacy regulations, particularly GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant frameworks as they apply to Google's operations and services.
- Support the development and implementation of privacy policies, procedures, and controls to ensure Google compliance.
- Help maintain documentation of privacy compliance efforts, including records of processing activities and data flow maps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, IT, marketing) to provide privacy guidance and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Contribute to the creation of training materials and awareness programs on data privacy and Google compliance.
- Stay informed about emerging privacy technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices relevant to Google.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with G Suite (Google Workspace) applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other Google services and their privacy implications.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, or willingness to obtain).
- Previous internship or entry-level experience in compliance, legal, or privacy-related roles.
- Understanding of information security concepts.
