Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Kids Play-set Assembly Helper to join our team in Nottingham. This role focuses on the safe and efficient assembly of various outdoor play-sets and garden structures at customer homes. If you have a knack for following instructions, enjoy working outdoors, and have a can-do attitude, this is a fantastic opportunity to start a career with a leading home improvement company. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals looking for an entry-level position with growth potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently assemble outdoor play-sets, swings, slides, and other garden furniture according to manufacturer instructions and safety standards.
- Travel to various customer locations within the Nottingham area to perform assembly services.
- Ensure the work area is kept tidy and safe during and after assembly.
- Inspect assembled products for quality and safety compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering basic questions and ensuring customer satisfaction with the assembly process.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on time and to a high standard.
- Handle tools and equipment responsibly, maintaining their good condition.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools (training will be provided)
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions precisely
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy components (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in assembly, construction, general labour, or a similar hands-on role
- Full UK driving license with access to a reliable vehicle
- Basic knowledge of health and safety practices in an outdoor working environment
- First Aid certification is a plus
- Prior customer service experience
