Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Live-in Caregiver to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. This unique opportunity offers a private room and board within the client’s home, alongside a highly competitive salary. As a Live-in Caregiver, you will provide comprehensive, round-the-clock support, companionship, and personal care to our client, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with mobility.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, tidying, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities like reading, conversation, and hobbies.
- Assist with errands, appointments, and transportation as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in the client's health or behavior to the care manager.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for the client.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of care provided.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in caregiving or a related field (family care counts).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with specific conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's, or mobility limitations.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
