Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Live-in Nanny to join a busy family based in Burlington, Vermont. This unique role requires a professional who is not only passionate about childcare but also possesses a keen sense of adventure and flexibility. You will be responsible for the daily care, education support, and well-being of two children, with the exciting opportunity to travel extensively with the family. This is a full-time, live-in position, offering a stable and rewarding career for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive daily care for two children, including meal preparation, hygiene, and age-appropriate activities.
- Assist with homework and school projects, ensuring academic progress and engagement.
- Plan and execute engaging educational and recreational activities both at home and while traveling.
- Manage children's schedules, including appointments, playdates, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for the children.
- Pack and unpack children's belongings for travel.
- Accompany the family on all domestic and international trips, providing continuous care and support.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents regarding children's development and daily activities.
- Handle light household tasks related to the children, such as tidying play areas and children's laundry.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and stimulating atmosphere for the children's growth.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of professional nanny experience with school-aged children.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to new environments and travel extensively.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working as a live-in nanny.
- Previous experience traveling with families.
- Proficiency in a second language.
