Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Logistics Operations Assistant to join our Pasco team. This on-site role is critical in supporting the daily flow of logistics operations, ensuring efficient package handling, dispatch, and delivery processes. You will work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the smooth execution of our delivery promises. Your ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and collaborate effectively will be key to your success. This position operates Monday to Friday, requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily planning and coordination of delivery routes and schedules.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing updates on status and potential delays.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory and packages.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
- Prepare and process necessary documentation for logistics operations, including manifests and dispatch records.
- Support the implementation of safety protocols and operational best practices.
- Utilize logistics software and systems for data entry and reporting.
- Address and resolve minor operational discrepancies and escalate complex issues to management.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in a logistics, warehouse, or administrative support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with logistics management software (e.g., WMS, TMS).
- Familiarity with the local Pasco/Tri-Cities geographic area.
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented logistics role.
