Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the automotive industry? Mr. Lube in Richmond Hill is seeking an energetic and motivated Lube Shop Assistant to join our fast-paced team. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to ensure you have all the skills needed to succeed. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn about vehicle maintenance, work in a dynamic environment, and grow within a leading national brand. Key Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and other basic preventative maintenance services under supervision and after training.
- Inspect vehicle components such as tires, fluid levels, and lights, and report findings to senior technicians.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the service bays and shop area.
- Assist customers with basic inquiries and provide exceptional service, ensuring a positive experience.
- Handle shop tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Stock and organize inventory of oils, filters, and other supplies.
- Learn and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Support senior technicians and other team members as needed to ensure efficient service delivery.
Required Skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in automotive care.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and reaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G Class Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle components and maintenance procedures.
