Job Description

The Merchant Hotel is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Massage Therapist Assistant to join our dedicated spa team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified massage therapists with client preparation and post-treatment care, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Prepare treatment rooms to the highest standards, ensuring cleanliness, tidiness, and full stocking of all necessary supplies including linens, oils, and amenities.
- Maintain impeccable hygiene and sanitation standards for all spa equipment and communal areas.
- Warmly greet clients, escort them to treatment rooms, and ensure their comfort throughout their spa journey.
- Support the spa operations by assisting with laundry services and other general maintenance tasks.
- Actively observe and learn various massage techniques, with a specific focus on Sport and Swedish massage, from senior therapists.
- Provide administrative support as needed, including assistance with client consultations and accurate record-keeping.
- Uphold a professional, discreet, and courteous demeanor at all times, reflecting the hotel's luxury standards.
- Assist with inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of spa supplies to ensure smooth operations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Current First Aid certification.
- Enrollment in or completion of an accredited beauty therapy or massage course is a plus.
