Job Description

Join Siemens Energy for our enriching Summer Vacation Program as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior mechanical engineers in the design, development, and testing of energy-related components and systems.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support ongoing engineering projects.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to validate design concepts and predict performance.
  • Create and modify technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software.
  • Participate in laboratory testing, data collection, and analysis.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and optimization efforts for existing designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, materials, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and findings.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards in all engineering activities.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, materials science).
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
  • Basic understanding of engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or project experience in a mechanical engineering role.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes or prototyping.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy systems or power generation technologies.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability and clean energy solutions.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
