Job Description
Join Siemens Energy for our enriching Summer Vacation Program as a Mechanical Engineering Intern. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior mechanical engineers in the design, development, and testing of energy-related components and systems.
- Conduct research and gather data to support ongoing engineering projects.
- Perform calculations and simulations to validate design concepts and predict performance.
- Create and modify technical drawings, schematics, and documentation using CAD software.
- Participate in laboratory testing, data collection, and analysis.
- Contribute to problem-solving and optimization efforts for existing designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, materials, and manufacturing engineers.
- Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and findings.
- Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards in all engineering activities.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical engineering principles (thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, materials science).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).
- Basic understanding of engineering analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience in a mechanical engineering role.
- Experience with manufacturing processes or prototyping.
- Familiarity with renewable energy systems or power generation technologies.
- Demonstrated interest in sustainability and clean energy solutions.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
