Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Medical Records Pharmacy Aide with a strong focus on data entry and filing to join our pharmacy team in Yonkers, NY. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring all documentation is processed efficiently and compliantly. Your attention to detail will be crucial in supporting our pharmacists and healthcare professionals, allowing them to provide exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information, prescriptions, and other medical records into designated pharmacy systems.
  • Organize, file, and retrieve medical records, ensuring confidentiality and easy accessibility.
  • Maintain the integrity and completeness of all patient files, both physical and electronic.
  • Assist with scanning, indexing, and archiving documents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify and reconcile patient data, identifying and correcting discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other privacy standards concerning patient information.
  • Support the pharmacy team with general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacists and other staff regarding record status or inquiries.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency in data entry with high accuracy and speed.
  • Exceptional organizational and filing skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, medical office, or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or pharmacy management systems.
