Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Global Payroll Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while contributing to Microsoft’s worldwide payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a foundational understanding of payroll processes and compliance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across various international regions, supporting our mission to maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of multi-country payrolls, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and local regulations.
- Verify and reconcile payroll data, including hours worked, leave balances, deductions, and tax information.
- Support the resolution of payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data privacy standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Finance) and external vendors to streamline payroll processes and address issues.
- Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management review as needed.
- Stay informed about changes in global payroll laws and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
- Participate in month-end and year-end payroll activities, including tax filings and audit preparations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with global payroll systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, ADP GlobalView).
- Familiarity with international payroll laws and compliance requirements.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification.
- Experience working in a large, multinational organization.
