Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mobile Porter to join our dynamic team in Belfast. This unique role requires frequent travel between our various hotel sites across the city, utilizing a company-provided van. As a Mobile Porter, you will be an essential part of our operations, ensuring smooth transitions of goods, luggage, and equipment, and providing support to our guests and departments wherever needed. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, independent work, and being on the move, while contributing to the high standards of service Hilton is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided van to transport items and personnel between multiple hotel properties in Belfast.
- Assist guests with luggage handling during check-ins, check-outs, and room changes across different sites.
- Relocate furniture, equipment, and supplies as required by various hotel departments (e.g., housekeeping, events, maintenance).
- Ensure all items are transported securely and efficiently, maintaining their condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests and internal teams, maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
- Monitor and report any maintenance needs for the company vehicle.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and traffic laws during transit.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks or special requests as directed by hotel management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company van.
Required Skills
- Valid UK driving license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with the Belfast area and efficient routing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a porter, logistics, or delivery role.
- Experience in the hospitality industry.
- Customer service experience.
