Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Mobile Rim Protection Applier to join our growing team in Southampton, Hampshire. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the precise application of our premium alloy wheel protection systems to a variety of vehicles. You will work both at our service centres and potentially at customer locations, ensuring every application meets our high standards of quality and aesthetics. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a passion for automotive aesthetics, with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare alloy wheel surfaces thoroughly, including cleaning and degreasing, prior to protection application.
- Accurately measure, cut, and apply protective rim strips or coatings to alloy wheels according to product specifications and customer requirements.
- Ensure a bubble-free, seamless, and durable finish for all applications.
- Conduct pre- and post-application inspections to verify quality and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including tools and equipment.
- Manage inventory of protection products and report stock levels.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering queries regarding rim protection products and processes.
Required Skills
- High level of attention to detail and precision
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid UK driving license with a clean record (for potential mobile service)
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance or mechanics is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive detailing, vinyl wrapping, or similar precision application roles
- Demonstrated passion for cars and automotive aesthetics
- NVQ Level 1 or equivalent in an automotive related field
