Job Description
Are you ready to jump into a dynamic role with immediate start? United Van Lines (Canada) is looking for motivated individuals to join our moving crew as Movers / General Labourers. No prior experience is necessary; we provide all the training you need to succeed. This is a fantastic opportunity for students, recent graduates, or anyone looking to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be an essential part of our team, ensuring the safe and efficient handling and transport of household goods and office equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, and move furniture, boxes, and other items into and out of moving trucks and client properties.
- Carefully pack and unpack belongings, ensuring items are protected during transit.
- Assemble and disassemble furniture as required.
- Operate moving equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and moving equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- No prior experience required; full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record (asset, not required).
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., construction, warehouse) is a plus but not essential.
