Job Description
Join the TJX team as a Clothing Sorter in our bustling fashion warehouse in New Port Richey, FL! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking easy, manual work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for accurately sorting and organizing incoming apparel, ensuring items are correctly categorized and prepared for distribution. This role requires attention to detail, a good work ethic, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks. No prior experience is needed – we provide all the necessary training to help you succeed. Be a vital part of our supply chain, helping bring incredible value to our customers every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and categorize a variety of clothing items by type, size, and color.
- Inspect items for quality and report any damages or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Organize sorted apparel onto designated racks, shelves, or into bins.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse.
- Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Assist with other general warehouse duties as needed, including packing or unpacking.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods.
- Basic comprehension of English for instructions and labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 20-30 lbs), and bend frequently.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with various types of clothing and apparel.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
