Job Description

We are seeking a warm, reliable, and experienced Nanny to join a loving family in New Port Richey, FL. This part-time position is ideal for someone looking for consistent school-hour work, specifically from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for occasional adjustments. You will be responsible for the care and development of their school-aged child(ren) within the home environment, providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing atmosphere. This role requires a professional who can blend seamlessly into family life, offering dedicated care during these crucial hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and nurturing care for school-aged child(ren) during designated hours.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities.
  • Prepare light meals and snacks for children.
  • Assist with homework and school projects as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized children's play area and common spaces.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the child(ren) at all times.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding the child's daily activities and progress.
  • Manage children's schedules, including after-school activities if applicable during the shift.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of professional childcare experience with verifiable references.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated patience, creativity, and a genuine love for children.
  • Ability to create a safe, stimulating, and structured environment.
  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience with positive discipline techniques.
  • Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate activities.
  • Familiarity with local child-friendly resources and activities in New Port Richey, FL.
