Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical National Security Analyst with a strong defense focus to join our expert team. This role is crucial in supporting various national security initiatives, involving the analysis of complex geopolitical landscapes, defense policies, and intelligence data. The successful candidate will provide critical insights, develop strategic recommendations, and contribute to projects vital for national defense and security. This position offers relocation assistance for qualified candidates moving to the Columbus, Ohio area.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of national security issues, defense strategies, and emerging threats.
- Interpret complex intelligence data from various sources to provide actionable insights.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations for senior leadership and clients.
- Develop and evaluate policy recommendations related to national defense and security operations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, government agencies, and defense partners.
- Monitor global geopolitical developments and their potential impact on national security.
- Participate in the development and refinement of analytical methodologies and tools.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in national security analysis, intelligence, or defense policy.
- Strong understanding of U.S. national security apparatus and defense strategies.
- Excellent analytical, research, and critical thinking abilities.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.
- Experience with specific intelligence community tools or defense programs.
- Prior experience working with government contracts or defense agencies.
- Foreign language proficiency.
- Specific expertise in areas such as cyber security, counter-terrorism, or WMD proliferation.
