Job Description
Join AdventHealth Wesley Chapel’s esteemed New Graduate RN Residency Program, designed to seamlessly transition new Registered Nurses from academia to professional practice. This comprehensive program provides a structured curriculum, dedicated mentorship, and hands-on clinical experience across various specialties. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of experienced Registered Nurses and mentors.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to interventions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Participate actively in residency seminars, workshops, and skills labs.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Required Skills
- Active and unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Previous healthcare experience (e.g., CNA, PCT, volunteer) in an acute care setting.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Membership in professional nursing organizations.
