Job Description
Are you passionate about digital content and engaging with a youth audience? AMC Theatres is seeking a motivated and creative Online Blog Assistant to support our new initiative focused on 14-year-old teens. This unique entry-level role offers comprehensive WordPress training, allowing you to develop valuable skills while contributing to engaging blog content. You will play a key role in assisting with content creation, publishing, and promotion, ensuring our blog resonates with a teenage demographic. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital media within a dynamic entertainment company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in brainstorming, researching, and developing content ideas relevant to 14-year-old teens, covering topics such as movies, pop culture, gaming, and lifestyle.
- Participate in a structured WordPress training program to learn content management, post creation, and basic site navigation.
- Support the editorial team in writing, editing, and proofreading blog posts, ensuring content is age-appropriate and engaging.
- Learn to format and publish blog posts using WordPress, including uploading images and embedding media.
- Help with basic SEO tasks such as keyword research and meta description writing under supervision.
- Assist in promoting blog content across various social media platforms popular with teens.
- Monitor blog comments and engagement, reporting insights to the content team.
- Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to ensure brand consistency and messaging.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in digital content creation, blogging, and youth culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and software, particularly WordPress.
- Creativity, a fresh perspective, and an understanding of what appeals to teenagers.
