Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Freight Dispatcher to join our dynamic team in Wesley Chapel, FL. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to start a career in logistics and transportation. As a Junior Freight Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating freight movement, ensuring timely deliveries, and supporting our experienced dispatch team. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior dispatchers in managing daily freight movements and driver assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and potential issues.
  • Monitor truck locations and delivery schedules using tracking software.
  • Update transportation management systems with accurate shipment information.
  • Address and resolve minor operational issues or escalate them as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain dispatch logs, reports, and other necessary documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance dispatching skills and knowledge.
