Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Part-time Beverage Servers with a special focus on weekend shifts. This role is perfect for someone looking for flexible work within a dynamic resort environment, with the added benefit of staff housing options. As a Beverage Server, you will be crucial in enhancing our guests’ dining and leisure experiences by providing prompt, friendly, and efficient beverage service across our resort’s various venues, including restaurants, bars, poolside areas, and event spaces. You will be responsible for taking beverage orders, preparing and serving drinks, handling transactions, and ensuring a clean and inviting atmosphere. Your ability to anticipate guest needs and maintain a positive attitude will contribute significantly to our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present beverage menus in a timely manner.
- Accurately take and process beverage orders, including special requests.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure compliance with all liquor laws and company policies.
- Process guest payments accurately using POS systems and handle cash or credit card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of beverage service areas, including bars, service stations, and dining spaces.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down event spaces as needed for beverage service.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen and other service staff to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and resolve any service issues efficiently.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume resort environment.
- Basic knowledge of common alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a beverage server or bartender in a resort, hotel, or high-end restaurant.
- Knowledge of local and state alcohol regulations (e.g., TIPS certification).
- Ability to upsell beverages and promote daily specials.
- Experience with fine dining service standards.
