Job Description
Join the FedEx team as a Peak Season Delivery Helper! This is a physically demanding yet rewarding role essential to our operations during the busiest time of the year. You will work alongside experienced drivers, assisting with the loading, unloading, and delivery of packages to homes and businesses. This role requires excellent physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with the efficient and safe delivery of packages to various locations.
- Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles, often requiring lifting and carrying items up to 75 lbs.
- Navigate routes with drivers, helping to identify delivery locations and optimize stops.
- Ensure packages are handled with care and delivered to the correct recipient or designated area.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and supervisors regarding route progress and potential issues.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy packages (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent reliability and punctuality.
- Effective communication skills.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with local geographic areas (New Port Richey and surrounding areas).
