Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organized Pharmacy Administrative Aide to join our team in Richmond, British Columbia. In this crucial support role, you will assist the Pharmacy Management team with a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the pharmacy. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to provide outstanding patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Pharmacy Manager and other management staff.
  • Manage and organize pharmacy records, including patient files, prescriptions, and inventory documents, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and prepare necessary documentation or presentations.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies, receiving stock, and processing returns.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and faxes, directing inquiries as appropriate.
  • Prepare and process various reports, invoices, and other financial documents.
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure the administrative area is tidy and well-organized.
  • Support compliance with all provincial and federal pharmacy regulations and company policies.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Basic understanding of pharmacy operations or medical terminology is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous administrative experience in a healthcare or retail pharmacy setting.
  • Post-secondary education in office administration or a related field.
  • Experience with pharmacy management software.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to the local community.
