Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Shopify Developer with expertise in Shopify Plus and a strong understanding of its advanced features and capabilities. The ideal candidate will provide critical support and development for complex Shopify Plus projects, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and merchant satisfaction. This role involves working closely with clients, product managers, and design teams to implement custom solutions, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the ongoing success of high-volume e-commerce stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy custom Shopify themes and functionalities for Shopify Plus merchants.
- Integrate third-party applications and APIs to extend Shopify's core capabilities.
- Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for complex technical issues related to Shopify Plus.
- Optimize Shopify stores for performance, SEO, and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with design and product teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, best practices, and industry trends, especially within the Shopify Plus ecosystem.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Assist in pre-sales activities, providing technical expertise and solution architecture guidance.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Proven expertise with Shopify Plus, including custom storefronts, Checkout Extensibility, and advanced APIs (Storefront API, Admin API).
- Strong understanding of modern front-end development practices and tools.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Shopify Plus Developer Certification.
- Experience with headless commerce implementations (e.g., Hydrogen, React, Next.js).
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Experience working in an agency or consulting environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
