Job Description
As a Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Aide at OptumRx, you will play a crucial support role within our corporate PBM operations. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere within the specified region. You will assist PBM professionals in various tasks related to prescription benefit plan administration, data analysis, and client support. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals eager to learn about the intricate world of pharmacy benefits and contribute to improving healthcare outcomes. You will gain exposure to diverse aspects of the PBM industry, including formulary management, claims processing support, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to PBM account managers and clinical pharmacists.
- Assist in the preparation of client reports, presentations, and communication materials.
- Support data entry and verification processes related to prescription claims and member eligibility.
- Conduct basic research to support formulary development and benefit design projects.
- Help maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for PBM programs and client accounts.
- Respond to internal inquiries and facilitate information flow between departments.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, or administrative support role.
