Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Aide to join our corporate office team. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. In this critical support role, you will provide essential administrative and operational assistance to our PBM specialists and managers, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our pharmacy benefit programs. Your work will directly support our efforts to provide excellent service and manage complex pharmacy benefits effectively, helping us achieve our mission of fostering healthier communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist PBM specialists and managers with a variety of administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, and performing data entry.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain documentation related to pharmacy claims, member inquiries, provider communications, and program compliance.
- Facilitate internal and external communication, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and adherence to privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Support the resolution of routine inquiries and issues, escalating more complex matters to appropriate PBM personnel.
- Aid in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials as requested by the PBM team.
- Perform general office support duties as needed to maintain efficient and organized remote operations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ year of experience in an administrative, office support, or healthcare support role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
- Basic understanding of medical or pharmacy terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) setting or pharmacy technician role.
- Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS guidelines).
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM/database systems.
