Job Description

CVS Health in McKinney, Texas, is excited to offer a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care to join us as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee. This role requires no previous pharmacy experience, as we provide comprehensive, paid on-the-job training to equip you with all the necessary skills and knowledge to become a certified Pharmacy Technician. You’ll work directly with our experienced pharmacy team, learning the ins and outs of pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, and patient interaction. Key Responsibilities
- Complete paid training program to learn all aspects of the Pharmacy Technician role.
- Assist pharmacists in the dispensing of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Process prescription orders, including data entry and insurance verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Adhere to all legal and company policies regarding pharmacy operations and patient privacy (HIPAA).
- Support the overall pharmacy team in daily tasks and operational needs.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- A genuine interest in healthcare and patient well-being.
- Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) are a plus.
