Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picture Frame Assembly Laborer to join our team in Lincoln, NE. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise assembly of custom picture frames and other framed art pieces using various tools and techniques, including glue guns and staple guns. This position is critical to ensuring the high quality and craftsmanship of our finished products. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately cut, join, and assemble various types of picture frames according to specifications and work orders.
- Operate and maintain glue guns, staple guns, and other hand tools or light machinery safely and efficiently.
- Inspect frame components for defects and ensure all pieces meet quality standards before assembly.
- Measure and cut matting, glass, and backing materials to precise dimensions.
- Carefully insert artwork, matting, glass, and backing into frames.
- Apply adhesives, fasteners, and finishing touches to ensure durable and aesthetically pleasing frames.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Assist with inventory management and material handling as needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using basic hand tools, including glue guns, staple guns, and measuring tapes.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications accurately.
- Basic understanding of measurements and fractions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or custom framing environment.
- Familiarity with various framing materials and techniques.
- Experience operating light woodworking machinery.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
