Job Description
As a Promoted Pins Analyst at Pinterest, you will be instrumental in optimizing the performance of our advertising campaigns by delving deep into data and identifying key trends. You will work closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to provide actionable insights that drive revenue growth and improve advertiser satisfaction. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, a passion for data storytelling, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise recommendations. You will be responsible for monitoring campaign health, identifying anomalies, and developing strategies to enhance the effectiveness of Promoted Pins on our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets related to Promoted Pins performance, user engagement, and advertiser behavior.
- Identify key trends, patterns, and insights to optimize advertising strategies and product features.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Promoted Pins.
- Conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the impact of new features and algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Sales) to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to inform internal strategies.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting and analysis.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and modeling.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics).
- Experience in digital advertising, social media, or e-commerce industries.
- Familiarity with Python or R for statistical analysis.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Understanding of Pinterest's platform and advertising products.
