Job Description

This gig economy role offers complete flexibility, allowing you to choose when and how often you work. As a runner, you’ll be responsible for picking up grocery orders from our partner stores and delivering them quickly and efficiently to customers across the city. Key Responsibilities
- Collect grocery orders from designated partner stores promptly.
- Deliver groceries safely and efficiently to customer addresses within the specified timeframes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring a positive experience.
- Manage delivery routes using the Deliveroo rider app.
- Maintain the quality and integrity of items during transit.
- Communicate effectively with customers and Deliveroo support when necessary.
Required Skills
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Access to a reliable bicycle, scooter, or car (with valid license and insurance).
- Own a smartphone with a data plan (iOS or Android).
- Ability to carry grocery bags (up to 10kg).
- Good navigation skills and familiarity with Manchester city areas.
- Customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
- Punctual and reliable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or customer service roles is a plus.
- Knowledge of local routes and shortcuts in Manchester.
- A positive attitude and a proactive approach to work.
