Job Description
Are you a calm, decisive individual who thrives under pressure? ADT Security Services is seeking highly motivated Remote Emergency Dispatch Operators to join our critical response team. This work-from-home position is for individuals prepared to handle high-stress situations, providing essential support and dispatching emergency services (police, fire, medical) with speed and accuracy. This role demands exceptional communication skills, empathy, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced virtual environment. Key Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize incoming emergency calls and alarm signals from customers.
- Gather critical information quickly and accurately from distressed callers.
- Dispatch appropriate emergency services (police, fire, EMS) based on protocol and incident severity.
- Provide clear, concise instructions and reassurance to callers until help arrives.
- Maintain detailed records of all communications and actions taken.
- Monitor emergency response systems and communicate with responders as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors in a remote setting.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.
- Strong active listening and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and comfortable navigating dispatch software.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively without direct supervision.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated quiet workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a call center, customer service, or public safety role.
- Familiarity with emergency dispatch protocols and terminology.
- Certifications in emergency communication (e.g., APCO, NENA) are a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is highly valued.
