Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and dependable Salon Sanitation Aide to join our team in Mississauga. This part-time role is crucial for maintaining the impeccable cleanliness and hygienic standards of our upscale salon, primarily during evening shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing comprehensive cleaning tasks across all areas of the salon, ensuring a spotless and safe environment for our clients and staff. This position is ideal for an individual who is meticulous, reliable, and takes pride in their work, contributing directly to the luxurious and welcoming atmosphere Civello Salon & Spa is known for.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily deep cleaning and sanitation of all salon areas, including styling stations, shampoo bowls, treatment rooms, reception, and common spaces.
• Thoroughly sanitize all tools, equipment, and workstations following strict health and safety guidelines.
• Manage waste disposal, including emptying trash bins, recycling, and preparing waste for collection.
• Execute floor maintenance such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming throughout the salon.
• Clean and disinfect client and staff restrooms regularly, ensuring they are consistently well-stocked with supplies.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of staff break areas and storage rooms.
• Monitor and replenish salon supplies, including towels, cleaning products, and client amenities.
• Promptly report any maintenance issues, damages, or supply shortages to salon management.
• Adhere strictly to all salon policies, health and safety regulations, and sanitation protocols.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and repetitive motions.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently within designated timeframes.
• A proactive and positive attitude with a client-focused mindset, understanding the impact of cleanliness on client experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cleaning, sanitation, or housekeeping role, preferably within a salon, spa, hospitality, or healthcare environment.
• Familiarity with various cleaning products, equipment, and sanitation best practices.
• Basic understanding of health and safety standards relevant to a salon or spa setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
