Job Description
Join our dedicated team as an Evening Shelf Stocker at our Winnipeg location. This role is crucial for ensuring our store is well-stocked and organized for our customers. You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently stocking shelves, rotating products, and maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment during evening hours. We are looking for reliable individuals who are detail-oriented and enjoy working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload delivery trucks and organize merchandise in the backroom.
- Stock shelves, display cases, and coolers with new inventory.
- Rotate products to ensure older items are sold first and minimize waste.
- Remove damaged or expired products from shelves.
- Maintain clean and organized aisles, shelves, and backroom areas.
- Assist customers with locating products when necessary.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Adhere to all store policies, safety guidelines, and food handling procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and punctuality for evening shifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management or stocking procedures.
- Experience operating a pallet jack or similar equipment.
