Job Description
Are you looking for high-paying, on-call work this winter? Mitie Group PLC is seeking reliable and physically fit individuals to join our Snow Shoveling Crew in Maidenhead. This is a crucial role for ensuring the safety and accessibility of our clients’ properties during periods of snow and ice. As an on-call team member, you will be alerted when adverse weather conditions require immediate action. This position offers excellent hourly rates for dedicated individuals ready to respond quickly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to on-call requests for snow and ice removal.
- Efficiently clear snow from walkways, pathways, entrances, and emergency exits using shovels and other hand tools.
- Apply de-icing agents (rock salt, grit) to prevent ice formation and ensure safe passage.
- Maintain a high standard of safety for yourself and others in all operations.
- Operate equipment safely and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Work effectively as part of a team, coordinating efforts for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure all assigned areas are thoroughly cleared and safe for pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
- Communicate effectively with team leaders and follow all instructions.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina for demanding manual labor in cold conditions.
- Reliability and ability to respond quickly to on-call notifications.
