Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Spa Water Quality Tech to join our esteemed team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn, as comprehensive training will be provided. The primary focus of this role will be on ensuring the pristine quality and safety of all spa water features, including pools, whirlpools, and specialized treatment baths. You will be responsible for routine testing, chemical balancing, and the general maintenance of our sophisticated water filtration and heating systems, ensuring an immaculate and safe environment for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily testing of spa water chemistry (pH, chlorine/bromine levels, alkalinity, calcium hardness, etc.) and accurately record results.
- Adjust chemical levels as needed to maintain optimal water balance and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Inspect, clean, and maintain spa filtration systems, pumps, and related equipment.
- Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of spa basins, decks, and surrounding areas.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, malfunctions, or safety concerns regarding spa equipment or facilities.
- Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Participate actively in all provided training sessions to develop expertise in spa water quality management.
- Maintain detailed logs of all tests, adjustments, and maintenance activities.
- Assist with other general spa maintenance tasks as directed by the management team.
Required Skills
- Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn about spa systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observation skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to lift moderate weights, stand for extended periods, and work with chemicals safely.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a hospitality or maintenance role is a plus, but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is an asset.
- Familiarity with chemical handling and safety procedures.
