Job Description
Target is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Student Retail Staff to join our team in Chula Vista. This part-time role is perfect for students looking to gain valuable retail experience, work flexible hours, and contribute to a dynamic team environment. You will be responsible for providing outstanding service to our guests, maintaining store standards, and supporting various departments across our Chula Vista locations. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive shopping experience for everyone. This role focuses on supporting all suburbs within the Chula Vista area, offering varied experience across different store settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist guests with a friendly and helpful demeanor, answering questions and directing them to products.
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, handling transactions and processing returns.
- Replenish shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly priced and displayed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor, backroom, and checkout area.
- Support inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.
- Assist with seasonal displays, promotions, and store events.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Learn and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security guidelines.
- Adapt to different roles and tasks within various departments as needed, focusing on supporting all Chula Vista suburbs.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Reliable and punctual.

- Previous experience in retail or customer service.
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
