Job Description
Are you looking for a unique summer opportunity to make a real impact on customer experience? Marriott International is seeking enthusiastic and observant individuals for a 3-month seasonal contract as a Summer Break Mystery Shopper. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating our service standards and identifying areas for improvement across our various establishments in the Indianapolis area. This is a perfect opportunity for students, recent graduates, or anyone seeking flexible work during the summer break, helping us ensure our guests receive the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities
- Discreetly visit assigned Marriott properties (hotels, restaurants, etc.) as a regular customer, adhering to specific assignment guidelines.
- Objectively assess and document various aspects of the customer experience, including service quality, cleanliness, product presentation, and adherence to brand standards.
- Complete detailed, accurate, and comprehensive survey reports within specified deadlines, providing constructive feedback and factual observations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all assignments, findings, and proprietary information.
- Communicate effectively and promptly with program coordinators regarding scheduling, report submissions, and any assignment-related issues.
Required Skills
- Exceptional observational skills and a keen eye for detail in various environments.
- Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and guidelines precisely.
- Excellent written communication skills for clear, concise, and comprehensive report writing.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations within the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
- Basic computer proficiency, including comfort with online survey platforms and internet navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality roles.
- Familiarity with online data entry or survey tools and processes.
- Local knowledge of the Indianapolis metropolitan area, particularly Broad Ripple and surrounding districts, is a plus.
