Job Description
Are you an energetic individual who enjoys being active and working outdoors? Publix is seeking a dedicated Supermarket Trolley Auditor to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining the availability and orderliness of shopping trolleys across various Publix locations. This position is crucial for ensuring a positive and convenient shopping experience for our valued customers. You will play a key role in the day-to-day operational flow of our stores, working diligently to keep our trolley supply well-managed and easily accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Systematically collect and retrieve shopping trolleys from parking lots and surrounding areas, ensuring no trolleys are left unsecured.
- Organize and return trolleys to designated store entrances and corrals efficiently and safely.
- Inspect trolleys for damage or defects and promptly report any issues for repair or maintenance.
- Perform basic cleaning and sanitization of trolleys regularly, especially handles and high-touch areas.
- Maintain a safe and clear pathway in parking lots and trolley storage areas, removing any obstructions.
- Assist customers with trolley-related inquiries or assistance when needed, providing friendly service.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company guidelines, and traffic regulations within the parking lot.
- Monitor trolley inventory and proactively manage their flow to meet peak demand periods.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in an unsupervised environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects (shopping trolleys) repeatedly throughout the day.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to maintain order.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with the local Tampa, Florida area is beneficial.
- A valid driver's license may be helpful for potential travel between very close store locations, but is not typically required.
