Job Description

Cognizant is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Teleperformance Metadata Analyst with a strong focus on Machine Learning to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be crucial in managing, analyzing, and improving the metadata associated with our machine learning models and data pipelines. You will work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and data governance teams to ensure metadata accuracy, consistency, and completeness, directly impacting the performance and interpretability of our ML solutions. This position is 100% remote, offering you the flexibility to work from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain metadata management frameworks for ML models, datasets, and features.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to capture and document metadata related to model training, evaluation, deployment, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and enforce metadata standards and best practices across various ML projects.
  • Utilize tools and scripts to automate metadata extraction, ingestion, and validation processes.
  • Perform data quality assessments on metadata and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support the creation of comprehensive data dictionaries and glossaries for ML-related assets.
  • Analyze metadata to identify patterns, dependencies, and potential issues within the ML ecosystem.
  • Contribute to the development of metadata-driven solutions for model interpretability and explainability.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on metadata management principles.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Strong understanding of metadata concepts and data governance principles.
  • Experience with machine learning workflows, model lifecycle, and related metadata (e.g., features, hyperparameters, metrics).
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data/ML services.
  • Knowledge of data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) or metadata management platforms.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of ethical AI principles and responsible ML development.
