Job Description

Piedmont Healthcare in Macon, Georgia, is excited to offer a unique opportunity for individuals with no prior experience to join our team as a Trainee Phlebotomist. This role includes fully paid clinical training, providing you with all the necessary skills and certifications to become a certified phlebotomist. You will learn the critical techniques of venipuncture, patient communication, and sample handling in a supportive, hands-on environment. This is an entry-level position designed for dedicated individuals ready to launch their healthcare career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in a comprehensive, fully paid clinical training program to develop phlebotomy skills.
  • Learn and master venipuncture techniques for blood collection from patients of all ages.
  • Properly identify patients, label specimens accurately, and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing and ensure proper storage and transport.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, infection control procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients to ensure a comfortable and positive experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Assist senior phlebotomists and medical staff as needed.
