Job Description
Embark on a meaningful career path as a Trainee Probation Office Administrator with Alberta Justice and Solicitor General. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Probation Officers and other team members.
- Manage and maintain confidential client files and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with provincial standards.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances, managing calendars effectively.
- Prepare, proofread, and format correspondence, reports, and other official documents.
- Handle incoming inquiries from clients, the public, and other agencies with professionalism and discretion.
- Process and track administrative paperwork related to probation orders and client progress.
- Assist with data entry, record keeping, and information retrieval.
- Ensure office supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained.
- Support the overall operational efficiency of the probation office.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration, Legal Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience (paid or volunteer) in an office environment, preferably within a government or legal setting.
- Knowledge of the Canadian justice system or community corrections.
- Ability to speak French or another second language relevant to Calgary's diverse population.
