Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Aide with a Green Tech focus to join our remote team. This role is crucial in supporting UPS’s environmental initiatives, particularly those involving the adoption and optimization of green technologies. As an Environmental Aide, you will assist in data collection, reporting, and the implementation of sustainability programs, working collaboratively with various departments to ensure compliance and promote environmental stewardship. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office while making a significant impact on our global sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the collection and analysis of environmental data related to energy consumption, waste management, and emissions.
- Assist in the research, evaluation, and implementation of new green technologies and sustainable practices.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on environmental performance and compliance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and company sustainability policies.
- Support the development and delivery of environmental training and awareness programs for employees.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of environmental activities and initiatives.
- Participate in remote team meetings and contribute to ongoing environmental projects and initiatives.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of environmental principles and regulations.
- Proficiency in data collection, entry, and basic analysis.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
- Ability to learn new software and environmental management systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent certification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related technical field.
- Previous experience (internship or volunteer) in an environmental support role.
