Job Description

Join UPS as a Feeder Driver (CDL-A) in Cleveland, Ohio, and become a vital part of our logistics network. This role focuses on ‘No-Touch Freight,’ meaning you will primarily be transporting trailers between UPS facilities, docks, and customer locations without handling individual packages. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate tractor-trailer combinations safely and efficiently on scheduled routes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
  • Hook and unhook trailers, ensuring secure connections.
  • Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of driving activities.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel.
  • Ensure timely and secure transportation of freight between various UPS facilities.

Required Skills

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
  • Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) for the past 3 years
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
  • Proven ability to operate tractor-trailer equipment safely and efficiently
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hours of service (HOS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliability and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with double/triple trailers endorsements
  • Familiarity with local and regional routes in Ohio
  • Previous experience in a 'no-touch freight' or linehaul environment
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
