Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented UPS Search Quality Analyst to join our remote team. This role focuses on enhancing UPS’s visibility and performance within Google and Bing search results. You will be responsible for evaluating search engine results pages (SERPs) for relevance, quality, and accuracy related to UPS services, brand, and industry. Your insights will directly inform our digital strategy and content optimization efforts, ensuring that UPS maintains a strong and positive presence in organic search. This is a critical role for ensuring our customers can easily find the information and services they need from UPS through major search engines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of Google and Bing search results for UPS-related queries, including brand terms, service inquiries, and competitor comparisons.
- Analyze SERP features (e.g., knowledge panels, local packs, featured snippets) and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Provide qualitative feedback and scores on the relevance, accuracy, and quality of search results, adhering to established guidelines.
- Identify emerging search trends and user intent related to shipping, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Collaborate with SEO specialists, content creators, and digital marketing teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Monitor changes in search algorithms and industry best practices to adapt evaluation methodologies.
- Document findings and contribute to regular reporting on search quality performance.
- Participate in calibration sessions to ensure consistency in search quality evaluations across the team.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with search engine optimization (SEO) principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of Google and Bing search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow intricate guidelines consistently.
- Proficiency in using search analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Science, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Search Quality Rater or similar role.
- Familiarity with the logistics or e-commerce industry.
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
- Knowledge of other digital marketing channels (PPC, social media, email marketing).
