Job Description

The Coastal Bistro is seeking a dedicated Weekend Dining Room Hand with a strong focus on cleanup and maintaining a pristine dining environment. This position is crucial for ensuring our guests enjoy a spotless and comfortable setting, especially during our busiest weekend hours. You’ll work closely with our front-of-house team to keep our dining areas immaculate, support efficient table turnover, and contribute to the overall smooth operation of our acclaimed restaurant. Key Responsibilities
- Execute thorough cleanup of dining areas, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing tables and chairs to high standards.
- Assist in clearing and resetting tables efficiently and promptly during peak service times.
- Ensure all dining room essentials such as cutlery, napkins, and condiments are consistently stocked and readily available.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of side stations, server areas, and other front-of-house spaces throughout your shift.
- Support dishwashing staff by pre-rinsing dishes or organizing soiled dishware as needed to maintain kitchen flow.
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as wiping down windows and polishing fixtures to enhance the dining ambiance.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures and food handling guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest needs or requests for assistance with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, self-starting approach to cleanliness and organization.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs consistently throughout shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive teamwork.
- Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to consistent attendance for scheduled weekend shifts.
- Basic understanding and adherence to general hygiene and sanitation practices.
