Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and physically fit individuals to join our team as Weekend Marquee Riggers. This part-time role involves working outdoors, often in various weather conditions, to set up and dismantle event marquees and other temporary structures. It’s a high-energy position that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. If you enjoy hands-on work, being active, and contributing to the success of diverse events, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, unload, and stage marquee components and related equipment at various event sites.
- Work efficiently as part of a team to erect and dismantle marquees, tents, and other temporary structures according
- Ensure all rigging and anchoring are secure and meet safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment after use.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures diligently.
- Interact professionally with clients and other event staff on site.
- Operate hand tools and power tools as required for installation and removal.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 75 lbs), bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols.
- Weekend availability is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, event setup, or a similar physically demanding role.
- Experience operating basic power tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
