Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate individual to join our team as a Hospital Lift Attendant & Porter. This entry-level role involves routine tasks essential to the smooth operation of our hospital, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of patients, visitors, and equipment within the facility. Key Responsibilities
- Operate hospital lifts to transport patients, visitors, staff, and medical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist patients with mobility challenges in and out of lifts, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Transport medical records, laboratory samples, mail, and other supplies between departments as required.
- Maintain a clean and tidy lift environment, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Provide basic directional assistance and information to visitors and patients.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, doctors, and other hospital personnel.
Required Skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and politely with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- A compassionate and patient-friendly demeanor.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
