Job Description
Are you an energetic and detail-oriented individual looking for an active role with an immediate start? Fred Meyer is seeking a dedicated Click & Collect Order Shopper to join our team in the Pearl District, Portland. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling online grocery orders for our customers. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail, and enjoys being on their feet, ensuring our customers receive the freshest and highest quality products with every order.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently select grocery and general merchandise items from store shelves based on customer online orders.
- Ensure product quality, freshness, and proper temperature controls are maintained during the picking process.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding product substitutions or out-of-stock items, offering suitable alternatives.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, including shopping carts and staging zones.
- Assist with other store duties as needed, including stocking shelves and customer service.
- Operate handheld scanning devices and follow established picking and packing procedures.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic computer and smartphone literacy to operate scanning devices.
- Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, grocery, or customer service environment.
- Familiarity with grocery products and store layouts.
- Experience with order picking or inventory management systems.
